About

I am Maxime Rousseaux-Bridle and this is my blog. The goal of this blog is to provide a useful resource to fellow software developers of all stripes (although some stripes will likely benefit more from it than others). If you want to find out more about me checkout the about me portion of my website.

My travels both on an off the net turn up both shiny and murky stones of all shapes and sizes. Up until now I’ve kept those stones carefully tucked away in a box on my desk where they really only benefit me. Keeping a lid on these stones of information is a silly violation of DRY – lifting the lid for you to peer inside strikes me as being a good remedy. You’ll be able to take a look inside the box by hitting the ‘Discoveries’ category.

At the moment the projects I’m working on are not worth mentioning, however in time I hope to contribute some useful pieces of code to the world and when those are ready you’ll be able to find out about them in the ‘Projects’ category.

Sometimes I’ll have an urge to let out a few sparks and when I do I’ll dump them in the ‘Rants’ category. At first glance I think a rant appears to be a time waster – both to for the writer and the reader, however upon further reflection I think a good rant can be a useful exercise. For the writer its a good opportunity to re-evaluate their opinion as well as be enlightened by their readers (specifically those who comment). For the reader its a chance to at least get a chuckle (laughing is good for you) and if they disagree, to hopefully enlighten the writer. So it is with those ideas in mind that I’ll be letting my sparks out.
